Neighbors once raised barns together;
now we raise each other’s reach.

A collaborative marketing platform built for rural communities.

Our Story

BarnRaise is a collaborative marketing platform designed to uplift rural communities by amplifying their stories, showcasing local businesses, and expanding their digital reach.

Rural communities are rich in authentic stories — farms, artisans, festivals, heritage, nature — exactly the kind of content that performs well on social media today. The problem is that rural businesses and organizations are marketing alone, with no budget, and getting drowned out. BarnRaise flips that equation by making the whole community the brand.

“BarnRaise unites rural communities through a shared marketing platform that amplifies local strengths, expands digital visibility, and drives sustainable economic growth.”

Our Mission & Vision

✦

Our Vision

We envision vibrant rural communities whose voices are heard, whose stories are shared, and whose local strengths shine across the digital world.

✦

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring rural communities together through a shared marketing platform that amplifies local businesses, sparks collaboration, and uses the power of social media to help rural economies grow and thrive.

Why Now

The timing has never been better for rural communities to claim their place in the digital world.

Authentic stories — the kind that come from farms, family festivals, local artisans, and deep-rooted heritage — are exactly what social media audiences crave right now. Rural communities have these stories in abundance. What they’ve lacked is the platform, the strategy, and the shared resources to tell them at scale. BarnRaise changes that. By pooling community stories and amplifying them through a single coordinated platform, small towns stop marketing alone and start raising each other’s reach.

Mary Louise Culver

Founder & CEO, BarnRaise

Mary Louise Culver grew up understanding the heart of rural communities — the festivals that bring everyone together, the family farms that define a region’s identity, and the local businesses that keep small towns alive. She founded BarnRaise from Ridgway, Pennsylvania with a simple belief: that rural communities deserve the same digital visibility and marketing power as big-city brands.

With BarnRaise, she’s building the platform that lets small towns stop marketing alone — and start raising each other’s reach.
